Care, considered.

Field notes / read approval claims

What would make an approval claim meaningful?

Ask what, exactly, has been approved. Write down the medicine name and what it is intended to treat. Would you swallow it, have an injection or receive it another way? Include that in your question.

Are any peptide medicines approved?

The September 26, 2026 approval records included semaglutide (Wegovy) for weight management. The check also recorded tirzepatide (Zepbound) as an approved weight-management medicine.

Ask the person treating you which product they mean and what they propose to treat. Keep the full name from the proposed prescription when reading the evidence.

Does a government drug code prove approval?

NDC stands for National Drug Code; having that code did not prove product approval in the FDA guidance checked September 26, 2026.

The code identifies a listed product. Ask for the approval record rather than treating the code as the end of the check.

What does a registered facility tell me?

Some facilities prepare medicines to order, a process called compounding.

Registering such a facility with FDA did not approve its drugs or endorse its work, as checked September 26, 2026.

An ordinary compounded medicine still lacked FDA approval at that date.

Ask about the medicine first, then about the maker's oversight. Keep both answers.

What would evidence need to match?

Ask whether the study tested the proposed ingredient for the condition you want treated. Was it given in the same way you would receive it, for example as a tablet or by injection?

Ask what result was measured, who took part and what the study did not answer. There is no need to understand every technical word to ask whether the study fits the offer.

If someone points only to a badge or a product code, return to the question about the actual medicine.

Keep this with your notes

Record the exact approval claim and what supports it. A code, a facility registration and a finished-product approval are different records.
